Walter builds and edits your website from his chat. You describe what you want, watch the changes in the preview, and publish when you're happy. Walter is part of the hours plan.
How Walter works
Walter builds landing pages, multi-page brochure and portfolio sites, service and pricing pages, contact pages and blogs. Your site is hosted by Marblism.
Step 1: Set up Walter
Open Walter's chat and click Onboard Walter. He asks:
Your starting point: choose I already have a website (he rebuilds it, as an exact copy or with a fresh look) or Start fresh.
Your site's name and web address: a free address ending in .marblism.me.
Whether Penny should publish to your site.
Your answers are pre-filled from your workspace, and your first build is free.
Step 2: Build and refine
Ask for any change: pages, sections, wording, layout or style. Walter checks each change before saving it.
Attach files in the chat: Walter puts your images on the site and uses documents to write pages.
Images: Walter creates images with AI, and uses your logo and brand images from your Brain.
Undo: ask Walter to undo a change or go back to an earlier version.
Step 3: Publish
Click Publish above the preview. Your site usually goes live within a few minutes at its .marblism.me address. Publish again whenever you want your latest changes live.
Publishing is free: hours are only used when Walter saves a change to your site. See Marblism pricing plans & billing cadence.
Step 4: Connect your domain (optional)
In Settings, then Domain, type the domain you own and click Connect. A guided setup connects it for you. See How do I connect a custom domain to my Walter site?
Step 5: Let Penny publish to your blog (optional)
In Penny's settings, go to Website and switch on the Walter row. See How do Penny and Walter work together to publish blog posts?
What Walter can and can't do
Can: contact and quote forms that email you each submission; links and buttons to your store checkout, payment or booking page; embedded buy buttons, booking widgets, maps, videos and social feeds; API keys for services your site uses (in Settings, then API Keys); visitor numbers; and an A/B test when you ask for one.
Can't: keep data of its own, so no accounts, logins, member areas or saved form history. Walter suggests the closest option instead. He also can't edit a site hosted elsewhere: he rebuilds it on Marblism.
