Walter builds and checks real website code, so starting the preview, making changes and publishing each take a little time. You don't need to keep the page open while he works.
What takes time
Starting the preview: the preview shows its progress while it loads.
Changes: Walter edits your site, checks the result and saves it. Bigger changes, like new pages or a redesign, take longer.
Publishing: usually a few minutes. A check runs first, so a broken version never replaces your live site.
You can close the page
Walter works on our servers, so closing or refreshing the page doesn't interrupt him.
The chat box is locked while Walter changes your site. Send your next request when he's done.
If you stop him during a change, the unfinished change is thrown away and your site stays as it was.
"Your preview server is paused"
The preview pauses after an hour without activity. Click Restart session to pick up where you left off: your site and its files are untouched, and your live site isn't affected. If you see "We couldn't load your website" instead, click Try again.
