Eva needs access to your inbox to sort your email and write draft replies. She never sends email on her own: you send it, from your usual mail app or with the Send button on a draft in Marblism.
Where to connect your inbox
The first time: open your chat with Eva and click Onboard Eva. One of the steps asks for your email provider.
Later: in Eva's chat, click the gear icon, then Inbox.
Choose your provider
The first-time setup offers Google, Microsoft and Other. In Settings and in the mobile app, the same options are called Google, Outlook and IMAP.
Google (Gmail and Google Workspace): sign in, then click Authorize on both permission cards, "Manage Your Inbox" and "Draft Emails". On Google's screen, keep every box ticked, or the permission isn't granted. Google's wording mentions sending, but Eva still never sends on her own.
Microsoft (Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts): sign in with the mailbox you want Eva to manage. If Microsoft says you need admin approval, see How do I connect my Outlook account if I see a "Need Admin Approval" message?
Other (IMAP), for every other provider, such as Titan, Zoho, iCloud, Yahoo, GoDaddy or IONOS: see How do I connect an IMAP inbox to Eva?
If Marblism warns that your account "appears to be hosted by a different provider", your email is managed somewhere other than Google or Microsoft. Connect it with IMAP instead.
What Eva does once connected
She checks your Inbox folder every 5 minutes. Email that your own rules move out of the Inbox isn't seen.
She labels your email, archives it if you turned that on, and writes draft replies in your mailbox.
During setup she can sort your 50 most recent emails, and she reads up to 50 recent sent emails to learn how you write.
Shared mailboxes
Microsoft 365 shared mailboxes can't be connected. Eva can only work in the mailbox of the account that signs in.
Google: delegated inboxes and Google Groups can't be connected. A shared account with its own sign-in, such as [email protected], works: sign in as that account.
IMAP: a mailbox that several people share with one password works. But if anyone disconnects it in Marblism, it stops for everyone using it, and each person has to reconnect.
If your whole team should see Eva's work on one inbox, make her a Team AI employee when you invite them. They then share her chat, her connected accounts and everything she produces.
