Step 1: Enter Your Domain
Go to Settings > Domain and type in the domain you already own (for example, yourdomain.com). The system saves it automatically in its www. form (www.yourdomain.com). The status will show as Pending DNS.
Step 2: Connect Your Domain
Click Connect. This opens your device's real browser (not a window inside the app). This is intentional: DNS providers don't allow login from within an embedded view.
From there, Walter handles the DNS setup for you:
Select your DNS provider (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
Log in with your account at that provider.
The platform configures the DNS records automatically. No manual copy-pasting of TXT, CNAME, or A record values needed.
Step 3: Wait for Verification
Once the verification finishes, you don't need to do anything else or keep the app open. The system checks your DNS status every 10 seconds and updates automatically:
Pending DNS -> Propagating -> Connected
DNS propagation usually takes a few minutes to a few hours. Most cases complete within 48 hours due to caching.
💡 Marblism only needs to detect the change on its end, not across the entire internet. Verification can complete even if the domain isn't visible everywhere yet.
Step 4: Your Site Goes Live
Once the status reaches Connected, your domain is automatically linked to the latest published version of your site. No need to republish manually.
⚠️ If your site has never been published before, you need to publish it at least once for the domain connection to complete correctly.
Domain Status Reference
Status | What it means |
Pending DNS | Domain saved. Waiting for DNS records to be detected. |
Propagating | DNS records found. Waiting for the change to spread across the internet. |
Connected | Domain is live and linked to your published site. |
Action needed | Propagation timed out (~72h) or the connection failed. Click Connect/Reconnect to retry. |
Stuck on "Pending DNS"?
This is the most common issue. The fix is not to wait; it's to republish:
Click Publish in Walter.
Every time you publish, the system automatically re-checks your DNS status. If the records are already pointing correctly, the status moves to Connected on its own.
💡 Republishing is the fastest way to trigger a re-check. If your DNS records are correct, this usually resolves the stuck status within seconds.
Common Errors When Entering a Domain
Invalid format (check for typos or extra characters).
Entering an IP address instead of a domain name.
Including a port number (e.g. yourdomain.com:8080).
Using a marblism.me subdomain instead of your own domain.
"Domain already in use": the domain is connected to a different Marblism account.
A Note on HTTPS
After your domain connects, HTTPS may take a few extra minutes to activate while the security certificate is issued. An initial browser security warning does not mean the verification failed; the certificate is simply still being processed. Refresh after a few minutes, and it should resolve on its own.
