As of Jan 1st 2026, we have created an app on the Shopify marketplace in line with their new app guidelines to make connecting Penny to your Shopify site easier than ever!
👇 Step by step guide:
First, open Penny and select Blog Posts, then Accounts in the top right hand corner.
Select Shopify from the list of providers that appear.
If this is your first time connecting Penny to Shopify in any of your workspaces, select Open Shopify App Store.
You will be redirected to the Marblism app page in the Shopify App Store. Here, press Install on the left hand side to install the Marblism app to your Shopify site.
Another box will open where you will need to authorize access for Marblism to access/edit some information. Press Install to continue.
Select the Workspace you would like to connect Penny to from the following page and press Continue at the bottom of the page.
You will be taken back to the Marblism dashboard where you can select the Blog that you would like posts to be sent to and the publish status. You can choose to have your posts sent as drafts to Shopify, or published live directly to your site.
Once you have made your selection, press Save Connection.
Now Penny is successfully connected and you can publish directly to your Shopify site!
I've already installed the Marblism app to my Shopify site!
If you're moving workspaces or accounts, and you've already installed the Marblism app to your Shopify site, then you can enter in your Shopify site ID in the initial pop up and connect it directly.
No need to go through the steps again!
