Why did my social media account get suspended?

Unable to post, add or remove connections? Here are some reasons and how to solve it.

Written by Gustavo Madrigal

Social media account suspensions can happen for several reasons. Some of the most common include:

  • Failing to verify your identity on Facebook

  • Posting too frequently in a short period (spam behavior)

  • Having a blocked account on Twitter/X

  • Violating community guidelines (e.g., repeated or inappropriate content)

If your account becomes suspended, you may still be able to post on other platforms. Please note that the suspensions are handed out by the social media platforms, not by Marblism.
However, it’s important to contact support so they can help resolve the issue. Support agents can identify the cause of the suspension, restore access on their end, and guide you through the next steps.

What to do based on the cause once you have contacted support:

1. Identity verification issue (Facebook)
If your suspension is due to a failed identity verification when connecting your Facebook account:

  • An agent can unsuspend your account.

  • Before posting again, you must complete identity verification.

  • Log into your Facebook app and follow the prompts to verify your identity.

  • You can also use this link (best on desktop): https://www.facebook.com/id/hub/

2. Blocked Twitter/X account

  • Your account can be unsuspended on our side.

  • Disconnect your Twitter/X account from the platform.

  • Only reconnect it after resolving the issue directly with Twitter/X support.

3. Spam-related suspension

  • After your account is restored, reduce how frequently you post.

  • Avoid publishing large volumes of content in a short time.

4. Community guidelines violation

  • Review the content you are posting.

  • Ensure it complies with platform rules before publishing again.
